The Read Verify item under the Options menu gives an additional measure of data verification. If this item is checked, Scan will read each sector twice, comparing the data from both reads. Although this serves as a double check on the disk, it will also cause Scan to run considerably slower, since it must read each sector twice, then compare the results. If you wish the most comprehensive test, this item should be checked. The default condition for this item is disabled.
